Would like to be able to delete "Deleted Items" out of Mailboxes manually or with a policy
Exchange 2003 SP1 Std. Windows 2003 SP2 Std. I can create a policy and apply it to a specific user. I run the policy (which deletes deleted items older that 7 days) manually and 6 hours later the user gets an email: The Microsoft Exchange Server Mailbox Manager has performed an automated cleanup of your mailbox. But no items have been deleted. Please assist. Thank you. Jason Jason, MCP Comptool Solutions LLC

I would suggest updating to Exchange 2003 SP2 plus post SP2 updates offered by Microsoft Update to begin with. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources

The error message means what it says. There was nothing to delete. That either means that your policy isn't configured correctly, or that the items have been modified within the time window. If you have another product that is scanning the mailboxes, archiving for example, then that can cause this kind of error. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources

It's not an error message, just a message delivered to the users mailbox. I have 3 policies: Name / Priority MAIN / Hightest DELETE ITEMS / 1 Default Policy / Lowest DELETE ITEMS Policy for test user only (Is this setup right?) (&(&(&(& (mailnickname=*) (| (&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(msExchHomeServerName=/o=Schoolcraft College/ou=SCHOOLCRAFT/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=ENTERPRISE)) )))(objectCategory=user)(givenName=test*)))Jason, MCP Comptool Solutions LLC
